Malaysia; Air Force orders TPS-77 MRR radar

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $25,111,798 firm-fixed-price contract for the Malaysia Ground-Based Radar System. This contract provides a standalone radar system, ancillary equipment, spares, training, and an interim contract support option.

This contract includes options that, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to $25,718,050. The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2025. This contract involves Foreign Military Sales to Malaysia. U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

The TPS-77 MRR is equipped with the latest technology that is quickly adaptable to a variety of surveillance missions. The radar’s multi-role single scan technology allows operators in specific sectors to select roles for the radar such as long-range or medium-range low-level flight surveillance, including helicopter detection.
